This first course in the  series begins by establishing the ''WHY' behind formal decision-making processes. The first course, 'The What, the Why and the When,' is designed to build your foundational framework. It addresses the criticality of RBDM, introduces the International Council for Harmonisation (ICH), and provides a clear model for assessing when a PQS decision requires higher formality based on the factors of Importance, Complexity, and Uncertainty.

The Double Diamond  Approach
Consists of four separate courses designed to lay the foundational elements of Risk Based Decision Making.

At the end of the first Program, the learner will


  • Understand the role of Risk Based Decision Making within QRM and the PQS.  
  • Recognise when higher formality approaches to decision-making are needed 
  • Learn to approach RBDM with a critical mind and rigor 
  • Demonstrate the rationale and logic behind important or complex decision-making.
